Groups

  1. Log On to MCSA as a user with administrator privileges.
  2. On the top left of MCSA page, click on the pull-down arrow under the Please select a page prompt, and select the Groups page. This opens up the Groups page.
  3. At this point you can create a new group, copy an existing group, or delete a group.
  4. You can also change group access control permissions for selected NTMC objects.


User Accounts

  1. Log On to MCSA as a user with administrator privileges.
  2. On the top left of MCSA page, click on the pull-down arrow under the Please select a page prompt, and select the Users page. This opens up the Users page.
  3. At this point you can create a new user account, copy an existing user account, or delete an account.
  4. After creating or copying a user account make certain to immediately define the user's first name, last name, password, and group membership. The latter defines the user's system access privileges.


Object Classes and Objects

  1. Log On to MCSA as a user with administrator privileges.
  2. On the top left of MCSA page, click on the pull-down arrow under the Please select a page prompt, and select the Users page. This opens up the Users page.
  3. At this point you can define / change user's access to system objects either by changing user's group membership, or by changing the group itself. Caution: changing the group itself affects all users who are members of that group.


Object Ownership (Owner Access Only)

  1. Log On to MCSA as a user with administrator privileges.
  2. On the top left of MCSA page, click on the pull-down arrow under the Please select a page prompt, and select the Users page. This opens up the Users page.
  3. At this point you can add or remove an object owned by the user.


Log-On / Off

  1. Start MCSA.
  2. At this point you can log-on to MCSA.
  3. When done you can either log-off MCSA, or simply close MCSA window. The last step performs log-off automatically.


Activity Audits

  1. Log On to MCSA as a user with administrator privileges.
  2. View MCSA event log.
