MREX

Commands below can be found under the MREX à MREX menu.

COMMAND DESCRIPTION HOW TO EXECUTE BUTTON SHORTCUT
Enable... Enables MREX, automatic activities can run when enabled.
  1. In MREX, select the 'MREX' menu.
  2. Select the 'Enable…' command.
  3. Confirm the selection.

  5. Alternatively, press the 'Configure MREX' button under the MREX menus, then proceed with step 3 above.

Toggle Meter List View Cycles the meter list window between the three available views: latest readings, billing reads, and downloads.

Acknowledge Alarms Acknowledges all MREX, and lower level alarms.

Archive Log File... Archives event log file.
  1. In MREX, select the 'MREX' menu.
  2. Select the 'Archive Log File…' command.
  3. Press the 'OK' button to continue, or 'Cancel' to abort the procedure.
  4. Press the 'Yes' button if you wish the current working log file to be reset (i.e. emptied of all records) after archiving operation completes, or press 'No' if you do not want that file to be reset.
  5. Press the 'OK' button to start the procedure, or 'Cancel' to abort the procedure. NOTE: If you select the current working file to be rest, and the operation fails (e.g.: the target drive is full, or not available), the current working file is NOT reset.
  6. Successful command execution creates a file named MREXYYYYMMDD.LOG where YYYY is the current year, MM the current month and DD the current day. The file is placed in the directory specified by the 'Log File Backup Directory' entry in the NTMC configuration file.

Get Latest Reading... Reads all on-line meters, and displays their dial readings.

Archive NTMCRDR Files... Archives all NTMCRDR files accumulating on the hard disk. Transfers data to archive files.
  1. In MREX, select the 'MREX' menu.
  2. Select the 'Archive NTMCRDR Files...' command.
  3. Confirm your intention.
  4. Alternatively, press the 'Archive NTMCRDR Files' button under the MREX menus.
  5. Confirm your intention.

Report Recent Energy Consumption Reports energy consumed as reported by each meter in the system, between the times specified by the operator. Above figures are also totaled up. The search is done on the data recording files accumulating at the time only.  
  1. In MREX, select the 'MREX' menu.
  2. Select the 'Report Recent Energy Consumption' command.
  3. When done look for the report file generated in the MREX export file directory.

Exit Terminates MREX. This is usually done automatically by MCEX.
  1. In MREX, select the 'MREX' menu.
  2. Select the 'Exit…' command.
  3. Confirm your intention.
  4. Alternatively, to terminate MREX only, bring the MCEX window to the foreground.
  5. Put the mouse cursor over the line in MCEX window displaying MREX status.
  6. Click the right mouse button.
  7. Select 'Close'.
  8. Alternatively, to terminate MREX together with the rest of NTMC system, simply terminate NTMC.

Meters

To display a meter window first display the meter list, then click on the meter of interest.

Commands below can be executed by first making a meter window the active window, then selecting commands under the MREX à Meter menu.

Monthly Schedules

To display the monthly schedule list (all on-line monthly schedules), press the Monthly Schedule List button under the MREX menus.

Each command below can be executed by 

  1. Either left clicking onto a schedule in schedule list, then executing the command under the MREX à  Monthly Schedule menu, and / or by
  2. Right clicking onto a schedule and executing the command from the so generated context menu.

Daily Schedules

To display the daily schedule list (all on-line daily schedules), press the Daily Schedule List button under the MREX menus.

  1. Either left clicking onto a schedule in schedule list, then executing the command under the MREX à  Daily Schedule menu, and / or by
  2. Right clicking onto a schedule and executing the command from the so generated context menu.

Operator

Users must log on to every NTMC component before they can use it. Security commands are listed below.

Log On... Logs on a user. If authenticated parts of the system consistent with user's privileges become available.
  1. Click on the Operator menu.
  2. Select Log On.
  3. Enter your username and click OK.
