NTMC  Object Definition

  1. Define NTMC Object of interest (load point, meter, etc) in the relevant NTMC component (LMEX, MREX, etc.) if you have not already done so.
  2. Define NTMC object in WebLink. The pull-down lists appearing in the NTMC Object Definition dialog box come directly from NTMC databases.
  3. Later on the object can be edited or deleted.

NTMC  Object Publishing

  1. Edit the object of interest.
  2. Check the Published on Internet checkbox if you want the object to be visible via the internet.
  3. The object becomes visible after the next database replication to server. WebLink replications are induced by other NTMC components when new data become available.

NTMC  Object Viewing

  1. Start your web browser.
  2. To go to NTMC Log-On Page do one of the following:
    1. Go to BTE Home Page and click on the NTMC Log-On link, or
    2. Go to your own web page, and click on the NTMC Log-On link if one is available. (To get a link on your web page ask your website administrator to put one there and make it point to the following URL: https://btecentral.myhsphere.biz/Secure/WebLinkPublisher/LogOn.aspx.
  3. Enter your Site Code. This code, identifies which control system you are connecting to.
  4. Enter your username. This identifies your user account on NTMC .
  5. Enter your password. This authenticates you.

Issuing Commands to NTMC via the Internet

  1. Define NTMC objects which are to be command request targets. For example, if you want to be able to poll a remote unit using your web browser, define the corresponding WebLink object.
  2. Set up the Time Zone Offset parameter for your location. Incoming external commands are time-stamped by the server. These time stamps need to be corrected so they read correctly in the time zone of your NTMC system. Determination of external command age needs this information as well in order for the Max. Age of External Commands parameter to work correctly (see the next item below).
  3. Enable External Command Processing on the relevant NTMC components - click on one of the following links to see how: RUEX, LMEX, CCEX, MREX.

Interfacing with NTMC via the Internet

Any software which can consume Microsoft ASP.NET Web Services, and has an account on one of NTMC control systems, can communicate with that control system by executing WebLinkService Web Service functions located at the following location:

 https://btecentral.myhsphere.biz/Secure/WebLinkService/WebLinkService.asmx.

Additional functions can be added to the service as needed. Please contact BTE for function documentation.
