Remote Access
means users can use system
resources from locations outside the control room. This means NTMC
can be accessed from another room down the hall, from home, or from another
state or country thousands of miles away. Remote access is not only a convenience,
but also a time and money saver in the long run.
Remote Notification
means users can be notified of specific events by NTMC
when they happen. Notification is done via e-mail, and can be sent to users'
PCs, pagers, cell phones, PDAs, etc.
